Will a ‘Spider-Man’ / ‘Avengers’ Crossover Ever Happen?

watchonlinemoviesblog

Earlier this week, we  reported  that a scene from 20th Century Fox’s  X-Men: Days of Future Past  will be attached as an end credits scene in  The Amazing Spider-Man 2 , which got many fans excited for possible Marvel crossovers between Sony, 20th Century Fox and even Marvel Studios. It was  later revealed  that director  Marc Webb  is still under contract at 20th Century Fox, and the studio would only let him make the sequel if Sony promoted  X-Men: Days of Future Past  for free.

When asked about the possibility of Sony joining forces with Marvel Studios and 20th Century Fox,  The Amazing Spider-Man 2  producer  Avi Arad  revealed that a cross-over will only happen when the studios have run out of other ideas, although that likely won’t happen anytime soon.

“I think I’m probably a little bit of the militant here. I think it will take a moment in…

watchonlinemoviesblog

May 4th is known globally as  Star Wars  Day. And it has been long rumored that this will be the date that LucasFilm and Disney finally make their big casting announcement for Star Wars: Episode VII . New sources have come forward to confirm that. Though they claim the studio will hold off on an official title announcement until Comic-Con in July.

Of course, this is all conjecture at this point. Neither Disney nor LucasFilm have confirmed any of this to be true.

The same thing was said last year around  Star Wars  Day, and May 4th came and went without a hint of what to expect. Not much was revealed all throughout 2013, and we’re already five months into 2014 without much more to go on.

This May 4th could be a different story, though. Disney CEO  Alan Horn  recently confirmed that most of the cast was in place…

When Will We See an R-Rated ‘Deadpool’ Movie or ‘X-Men’ TV Series?

watchonlinemoviesblog

When X-Men: Days of Future Past writer and producer Simon Kinberg stepped in for director Bryan Singer at last weekend’s WonderCon in Anaheim, he wasn’t shy about Fox’s future outlook for everyone’s favorite Mutants. He didn’t divulge any outright plans, but he did discuss the possibility of an X-Men TV series and an R-rated Deadpoolmovie.

Most of the major movie studios own a piece of the Marvel pie, and after the enormous success of Marvel’s The Avengers and all of its tie-in solo movies, Sony and Fox are looking to expand their franchises as well, as is Warner Bros. with their catalogue of DC Comics titles. Sony is currently in the process of turning The Amazing Spider-Man into a powerhouse of villainy with Venom and The Sinister Six spin-offs. Warner Bros. is building Man of Steel into Justice League, and Fox has X-Men: Apocalypse andWolverine 3 on…
